Who We Are

The Jewish Foundation exists to nurture partnerships with and protect the financial interests of our Northeast Florida area synagogues and Jewish agencies, to provide charitable gift planning services to our entire community, and to ensure that the intent of all donors who wish to support Jewish organizations is always honored.

Our Legacy

Founded in 1995, The Jewish Foundation was established to last in perpetuity, and went on to merge with our Jewish Federation in 2018. Together, the Federation & Foundation of Northeast Florida serves as an umbrella to provide consistent funding to our synagogues, partner agencies and nonprofit organizations that serve seniors, children and families through education, social services and programming, both locally and across the globe.

The mission and goals of our Foundation center on the shared responsibility of creating permanent financial stability for our greater Northeast Florida Jewish community. We achieve this primarily by working with individuals and families to create endowment funds, donor advised funds or other legacy gifts that serve to preserve a thriving Jewish life in our community and continue the important Jewish tradition of giving back and repairing the world.

With more Jewish people relocating into the area, the need for sustainable funding for our local synagogues, schools, agencies and other Jewish organizations, is rapidly increasing in demand, making the work of our organization more vital than ever. The Jewish Foundation develops the permanent funds necessary to meet the growing needs of our Jewish community and to secure Jewish tomorrows.

How We Make a Difference

Our work is about continuing the important Jewish tradition of Tzedakah—giving to those in need; to our older adults, to Jewish education, to our children and their children, for many years to come. For more than two decades, we have had the privilege of assisting individuals and families in curating their unique philanthropic legacies that will last beyond their lifetime and inspire from generation to generation. Helping to execute each family’s vision for a Jewish tomorrow is a joy and we are honored to be part of their stories.
