2019 Len & Judy Elikan Camp Scholarship

 

The Jewish Federation of Jacksonville and The Len & Judy Elikan Camp Scholarship Fund are thrilled to once again offer overnight camp scholarship awards this year for teens who are seen as potential leaders of the next generation in the Jewish Community. A Jewish overnight camp is a place to learn new skills, to have fun, and to meet new friends with whom you share your ideas about Judaism and life. Jewish camp is a place where many become proud and committed Jews, though they may not have had that goal in mind when deciding to go. Many go on to become leaders in their community – a great byproduct. However, the first objective is the most important one: for each youth who attends to have a great summer experience in a Jewish environment. 

Who is Eligible to Apply?

The scholarship is for Jewish teens between the ages of 13 and 17 as of June 30, 2019.  Parent(s)/Guardian(s) must be members of one of the following:

 

  • Congregation Ahavath Chesed - Jacksonville, FL.
  • Etz Chaim Synagogue - Jacksonville, FL.
  • Jacksonville Jewish Center - Jacksonville, FL.
  • Beth El - the Beaches Synagogue - Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.
  • Chabad at the Beaches - Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.
  • First Congregation Sons of Israel - St. Augustine, FL.
  • Temple Bet Yam – St. Augustine, FL.
  • Congregation Beth Shalom – Bozeman, MT.
