Jill Abel began working for the Jewish Federation of Jacksonville as its Israel Partnership Director in October 2012. Previously, she taught Kindergarten for two decades, spanning stops at the Jewish Community Alliance's Michele Block Gan Yeladim Pre-School as well as the Jacksonville Country Day School. Before her teaching positions in Florida, she also taught at a pair of schools in Virginia.
Abel is a two-time graduate of the University of Virginia, where she first received her Bachelor's degree followed by her Master's of Teaching. In her current position, she especially enjoys her work promoting the Federation's incredible partnership with the community of Hadera-Eiron in Israel. Abel also loves spending time with her husband, Mike and two children, Hannah and Aaron. In her spare time, she can be found on the JCA tennis courts!
